Will a real preast be present?

No, only our lovely master of ceremony!
 She will guide you through the whole event, so you can relax and enjoy. She will ask you wat music you want to hear and helps with fitting the wedding dresses. 

Is this marriage legally binding?

No it is not! It is romantic and fun, but not ‘real’. There is no official part in this event. Only your emotions will be real…

How long will it take?

60 to 90 minutes, depenting on what ceremony you book.

Where can i find more infomation?

Everything you want to know is in there FAQ. When you make your reservation we email you a lot of details and info. What time do we expect you etc. Still a question? Do not hesitate to email or text us.

Do i have to arrange things?

We will do everything, you jurt need to make the reservation, we do the rest. Good news right?! So you can enjoy and have fun!

What is the program when we are in your shop?

– We will welcome you and show you around.

– We will show you the wedding dresses and our vintage tail coats. It is time to change now. 

– We will interview the two of you and write a speech with your answers. 

– We will ask you for ‘your song’.

– red carpet moment… aaah… 

– speech / vows

– ceremonie and  “yes i do”

– we take a picture that we print for you 

– if you’ve chosen the €125,- ceremony, we will take a lot of pictires for you. 

– Signing the (fun) certificate 

– Changing back into your own clothes  

– enjoy your honeymoon in Amsterdam!

How long does it take alltogether? 

It depends on the reservation: 

60 min. or 75 min. 

This is in total, so with getting changed etc. 

What do i need to prepare?

Not so mutch, but if you like you could:  

– Think about ‘your song’

– find out where you want to make a toast afterwards

– Think about your answer to these questions: 

     What do you admire in him/her? 

     What moments in your relationship do you cherish? 

     How does she/he complete you?

     What irritates you in him/her?

What about the speech and the vows ?

It is up to you: Or you wrrite them and take them with you, and read it your self, or let us do it. Or we write it for you, when we interview you. 

Can i make the reservation for some one else?

Sure! SO mutch fun to surprise or treat a friend!

How mutch time in advance do i need to book?

The longer you wait, the bigger the chance we are fully booked. But you can always try and we might be able to squeeze you in. Our last minute number is; +31-6-81893184

But you can already book up front, up to 5 months, just to be sure…

Wedding dresses 

We have wedding dresses in all sizes! They start with XS and go all the way up to XXL. (europe size 56)  

Our dresses are; beautifull / over the top / chique / histerical, it’s up to you!

We have only a few pair of shoes, so if you like, you can bring heels. But sneakers will do just fine 😉

Tail coatc / top hats 

We have vintage tail coats and top hats. But if you prefer you can bring your own suit or come as you are!

We DON’T have: shirts, pants, or shoes. 

Personal speech  

We  ask you some beautifull questions like; 

What do you admire in him/her? What moments in your relationship do you cherish? How does she/he complete you? What irritates you in him/her?

and we write a speech with your answers. But of course, if you want to write and read your own, it’s your wedding!

Your song 

With our itunes account we can find you any song you want. Otherwise we use youtube. You don’t have to tell us prior, we will ask you when you are with us. 

Rings

Ok, it will not be fine diamonds, but they are lvely, fun, wedding ring like rings. To keep as a memento.

1 photo printed

With every ceremony we make 1 picture that we print. With the larger ceremony we also take a lot of pictures with your own device. We are no proffessional photografers, but then the price would double 😉 But we do know how to make great wedding pics for you! 

What time do i need to be there?

On your big day it is not nice to be late, we cannot strech our schedule. If you walk in to our store at the exact time that you scheduled for, it is perfect! 

At this moment we will start to show you around and help you choose your wedding attire. So if your reservation if for 12.00 o clock, you walk in at 12.00 h. 

A nice trick is to have a nice pre wedding drink in the area, so you can easily time your arrival and avoid stress in the public transport. 

Still too late?

Unfortunately it can happen. Please text us, +31-6-81893184. Maybe we can change something around for you. If we can’t, it is very sorry, but then your time in our shop will be shorter. We will ask you what is most important for you, so we give enaugh atention to this part of the experience and skip the least important part. For example: you still want  lot of time to choose dresses and do not care so mutch for the personalised speech? Or you will pick a dress in a minute because your really want to have enaugh time for the vows. etc. It is up to you. But the best strategy is to be in time 😉 

Cancel

Up to 48 hours prior to your booking you can cancel and get a refund. On the day of your booking there is no refund possible, but pease text us so we can make another couple happy!

Do you want to bring friends?

Sure! How lovely! Up to 6 people is perfect. 

Kids? 

Yes! Bring your kids! They will get a ring, and can change also if they want. Make sure you bring a nanny or an extra adult that can watch them, so you can focus. 

Cake / champain 

ooh that would be great! But it will stain the wedding dresses, so no. Please have your toast / wedding lunch elsewhere.

Adress

Rosmarijnsteeg 10 , 1012 RP Amsterdam, we are located on the first floor of the shop named; WIND.  please tell the staf of WIND that you are in, and we will come to pick you up when we are ready for you. 

By car:    
It is not smart or good for your health to take your car into the city center. If you still want to do it, park it in the Qpark parking on the Marnixstraat and walk the rest, it is 15 minutes. 

Or the cheapest option: Park at the Amsterdam Noord train station, for a few Euros per day, and take the subway 52 to Rokin. And to get to our shop it i another 4 minutes by foot! 

Public transport:
It is 15 minutes by foot from the Amsterdam Central Station. 
Or you can take a few stops with tram 11, 2 or 12 to ‘spui’, 2 minutes walk to our shop. 
Or tram 14,24 or 4 to ‘Rokin’. 4 minutes walk to our shop. 

Our shop is in a historical and beautifull area; next to the de famous canals, and the wonderfull 9 streets, those are famous shopping streets with good boutique shops and cafe’s. 

What is the wedding boutique? 

our adress is Rosmarijnsteeg 10 , 1012 RP Amsterdam, we are located on the first floor of the shop named; WIND.  please tell the staf of WIND that you are in, and we will come to pick you up when we are ready for you. 

The shop is not very big, but honoustly, we only need the two of you to celebrate your love 😉 The shop is in a old historical canal house, with old details. We have a seperate dressing area. 

Wheelchair 

We are so sorry, but we are on the first floor of a historical boutique, so there is no access for wheelchairs.

We zitten tussen de kalverstraat en de 9 straatjes, dus echt een shopping walhalla!

Strooien 


 Nog even wat serieuze woorden: het is niet toegestaan in en om de locatie van Wed and Walk te strooien met: rijst, rozen/bloemblaadjes, confetti, etc. Dit is vanwege de vlekken die rozenblaadjes en confetti maken, de ratten die op de rijst afkomen, en de uren die we op onze knieën bezig zijn om met een pincet alles tussen de kieren vandaan te pulken. Mochten jullie of iemand van jullie gezelschap toevallig toch strooien op onze stoep, wordt er €150,- schoonmaakkosten aan jullie in rekening gebracht door de gemeente. Zo! Dat waren serieuze woorden.

Strippers

 Wij accepteren geen strippers in onze zaak. Echt, dit wordt ons gevraagd 😉 

Eten / drinken 

 Ooh wat zou dát geweldig zijn, lekker taart eten bij ons, proosten met bubbels.. alleen de vet vlekken die er dan op de bruidsjurken komen, kosten ons €82,50 bij de stomerij. Duss….. aub graag taart eten als jullie weer weg zijn bij ons, bijvoorbeeld bij “De Taart van mijn tante”.  Het zelfde geldt voor drinken in de bruidskleding. Om alles schoon te houden, mag er niet gegeten óf gedronken worden. Dus proosten met bubbels graag achteraf, als jullie weer buiten staan. En trouwens.. we hebben geen alcohol/horeca vergunning 😉

Is er een echte ambtenaar aanwezig?

 Nee, alleen een betrokken ceremoniemeester!

Zij begeleidt jullie door alles heen, zorgt dat alles goed komt, zodat jullie lekker kunnen  ontspannen. Zij gaat jullie ook  vragen welke muziek je wil horen, zij helpt jullie met kleding uitzoeken en zij interview jullie om vervolgens jullie speech te schrijven.

Is mijn huwelijk bij Wed and Walk echt of nep? 

  Het is hartstikke nep! Er is geen sprake van een officiële verbintenis. Alleen de tranen in uw ogen zijn straks echt…

Automatisch ontbonden als de zon op komt? Hoe zit dat? 

 Wat heeft die zon er mee te maken?

 Die zon die heeft er niets mee te maken, er treedt geen mechaniek in werking. Het is alleen een verhoging van het Assepoestergehalte.

Alimentatie 

 ooit heeft iemand eens gevraagd of de partner na een huwelijk bij ons dan ook recht had op alimentatie. Nou nee, want de verbintenis is enkel emotioneel, niet echt , niet wettelijk. 

Moet ik minimaal 18 jaar zijn?


Wij hanteren geen minimum leeftijd omdat het huwelijk niet echt is. Als je je hoofd al rechtop kan houden ben je van harte welkom om te trouwen. Daarvoor eigenlijk ook al.

Wij zijn 2 vrouwen, mogen wij ook komen trouwen?

Tuurlijk! Als jullie elkaar maar lief vinden….We hebben genoeg Sissi jurken.



Wij willen eigenlijk met 3 vriendinnen trouwen, mag dat?

Ja hoor, gezellig! The more the marrieder! Een hele club mensen, of met je hond. Álles mag!

Ik ben 80, is dat een bezwaar?

Als je nog “JA” kan knikken ben je van harte welkom.



Wij zijn 2 mannen, moeten we zelf een extra hoed mee nemen?

Nee joh! Wij hebben hoeden genoeg!

Kan ik Wed and Walk ook zelf op mijn feest inhuren?
